Salutations, ladies and gentlemen of the internet. With globalization, technology, and social media influence, everything surrounding traditional societal structures is dismantling. From how we perceive romance, dating, friendships, work culture, and even day to day life is being broken down to dilapidated states, and built back up, but slowly. Even something like splitting the bill when you're dating is up for intense debate. Back in the day, it was a given that the man would pay for the woman. These days, there are certainly still men and women who adhere to those standards, but many who vary. Regardless of where you stand, this phenomenon is persisting through most cultures, and the only advice we can give is to be ready for the change. 

In the story below, the narrator is a woman who's going to lunch with her friend. She claims they usually split the bill down the middle, but this time it was different. Her friend ordered nearly $100 worth of food, which is excessive. Her entitled friend insists they split, but she puts her foot down.
